November 30, 2020 africa / Ethiopia / leadership
We celebrate 11 years in business and as any entrepreneur and small business owner would attest, it has been a journey based on a vision, with sleepless nights, sometimes with greater challenges and others with wins.
As we continue to build our ICT driven cross-cultural branding company, we remain committed to providing knowledge-based brand marketing strategies to ensure measurable impact. The 4th industrial era is not just about having your articles featured on one of the media platforms; it is about having a grand strategy with clear goals and greater outcomes across various platforms including media. We stay abreast of market trends, latest technologies, and tools that increase productivity. We are here to change the narrative of Africa in North America, which will have a ripple effect around the world.
With the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African countries have an opportunity to transform their image, manage their narratives and promote their brand. North America also have incentives to increase engagement in Africa especially in time of competitiveness and technology that will lead to realignment of US agencies. Such engagement and work needs to be continuous and consistent. Contact us to discuss further about your goals and expected outcomes.
Due to the many questions and calls I have received – It is is hard to stay silent and in terms of branding Ethiopia, such recent events deters US investors as the political risk becomes once again part of the narrative. It is important to know every African country is investable despite the challenges, and Ethiopia’s current events should not determine its potential for investors and opportunities for businesses to grow.
I would be remiss if I didn’t address the current news about my birthplace Ethiopia. Ethiopia’s brand has been gradually revamped with reports showing that GDP in Ethiopia is expected to reach 90.00 USD Billion by the end of 2020, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the Ethiopia GDP is projected to trend around 97.00 USD Billion in 2021 and 105.00 USD Billion in 2022. The arrival of the Prime Minister in 2018 was a breath of fresh air for many including the International community and the Diaspora. With all the accolades given to the Prime Minister, from a Global Thinker to Nobel Peace Prize winner and timely reformist, it is imperative that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is supported to execute his vision, even if it includes prosecuting the Tigray Liberation People Front (TPLF).
When Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed decided to pursue the TPLF, it has been with conviction and understanding that the damages caused thus far by a group of leaders, who have continuously defied accountability and recently dismissed the authority of the impressionable and forward-looking Prime Minister. Turning the page on 27 years of a “suffocating” centralized government- as claimed by many- in addition to 13 years of brutal communism, the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will serve to further elevate Ethiopia’s brand of economic development, and long-standing recognition of being a beacon of hope as well as one of Africa’s priceless cultural heritage. As Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has stepped forward to recalibrate Ethiopia and amplify the country’s brand value, reinforcing him becomes even more pivotal.
While the conflict has taken over the pages of the media, know that the Telecommunication license bid is open.
